Emergency Management Specialist (PT)
Shelby County has an opening for a Part-Time Emergency Management Specialist with the Shelby County Emergency Management Agency. Under the direction of the EMA Director/ Executive Committee, the specialist will assist the EMA director with administering the county emergency management and the county safety program; by means of prevention, preparedness, mitigation, response, and recovery capabilities through regional and local coordination and public safety planning for the occurrence of natural and man-made (all-hazards) emergencies and disasters.
Applicant must have received a high school diploma, plus twelve months of training and/or experience in Emergency Management planning and civil defense preparedness. In addition, the successful candidate must meet all job safety requirements and be subject to drug and alcohol testing based on reasonable suspicion. Compensation will be dependent upon experience.
